Definitely not as well made as the OEM version, but it fit perfectly and so is working fine so far.

BMW E46 3-Series Expansion Tank Retainer May 9, 2017
Reviewer: John Moroles from Bonney Lake, WA United States
After hours of remove and replace I was excited to get 50/50 antifreeze in tank again only to find that I had a leak. After going round and round trying to figure out where I had a leak it turned out quality control failed. The plug came from the factory (only part made in China too in my order) without a seal. I could tighten it but it would never seal. Hope to get my money back on that one. They're great customer support. I expect nothing less. Since it's designed to not come out I had to force it out to seal it. There may be a small piece of plastic floating somewhere in my cooling system. Ouch!

Good Part......... August 8, 2015

Everything seems to be of great construction.  The fit was good too.  The only thing I didn't hear the typical click when seating the Expansion Tank to the Retainer.

Wasn't sure I needed - glad I bought it for sanity March 10, 2015

Old one was brittle, could have retained it but this was cheap insurance since i was replacing every other component.
