What are OEM parts-----------?
All items listed here are OEM bmw parts, Unless otherwise stated i.e. Bilstein or aftermarket. OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer. What this means is, When bmw has a part built for one of their models they contracted a company to build the part for them. For instance, When bmw needed a fan clutch built they used a company named SACHS to build them, So when you buy a OEM fan clutch you are buying a fan clutch made by the same supplier that BMW used. In many cases the part even carries the bmw part number on the part. We attempt to inform you in the product description on the manufacturer of each part, 99% of the parts we offer are OEM i.e. Original Equipment Manufacture.
What is the warranty on the part I am buying------?
All replacement parts carry 1 year warranty against defects. Parts are not covered from abuse or damage. Electrical parts are non returnable. Any parts that require a warranty will be shipped to the customer once we have received the defective part. We do not pay labor charges for any warranty item.
Bilstein: In some cases bilstein requires the part to be sent back before they authorize a warranty, This is due in part to the nature of suspension parts that are used for racing or auto-cross.
May I return a item if I do not need it-------?
Parts are returnable within 30 days of order date; Parts must be in the original packaging and show no signs of wear,installation or damage. Electrical items are not returnable for any reason, They do carry a warranty in most cases but are not returnable for credit. Example of electrical items but not limited to are: Mass air meters, ignition coils and boots,electric/aux fans,sensors,blower motors. If you have any questions as to the warranty or return policy please contact us before ordering. Any item returned for credit will be at the cost of the purchasing party. Items that are returned for credit will carry a 10% re-stocking fee. Purchaser must obtain a RMA # before product is returned. Repair manuals are not returnable.
NOTE: Any parts that are purchased in a kit form are only returnable if the complete purchased kit is returned. You can not return partial kits.
Why are some of the parts listed more expensive then on ebay-----?
Simple, The parts market is saturated with parts coming from
overseas, many of the parts appear to be good quality until they are
installed and fail with in a few months. The parts we offer are OEM BMW
which means they are made by the same company that BMW used. Example:
Valeo radiators on certain years of the BMW Z3 & BEHR on other makes.
BOSCH starters and alternators, Bembo & Zimmermann rotors for the brake
system, PBR & Pagid brake pads, Lemforder ball joint,tie rod ends etc.
What is the shipping charge?
The shipping charge is $8.89 per order for the lower 48 states. Any international orders will have the shipping cost quoted before the order is placed. You can contact us at admin@oembimmerparts.com If you need the shipping cost for any international orders.
Core Charges & Shipping Cores----------?
Certain items may incur a core charge. Core charges will be refunded promptly and in full once we receive the core in the original box. Shipping cores back to oembimmerparts is at the cost of the purchaser (unless otherwise stated in the parts description). We recommend insuring the shipment to protect both parties from any problems.
